Hosted by Ursula Pottinga
In this lively and interactive webinar Ursula will share scientific evidence of why coaching works and the impact we have as coaches on our clients’ transformational journey. Neuroscience can shed light on the underlying mechanisms of coaching and provide important insights to support clients.
We will look at the power of long-term coaching agreements vs. “let’s do it quick” and how neuroplasticity informs this.
Why coaching creates an Positive Emotional Attractor (or towards state) in the brain that activates networks and regions of the brain that are associated with big-picture thinking, engagement, motivation, stress regulation, and emotional regulation.
How we are an extension of our clients’ brains and what the research of Annie Murphy Paul illuminates.
That tools of vision boards, embodiment and metaphor are scientifically proven concepts and are not “Woo-Woo” at all.
Outcomes: Participants will be able to get a deeper and scientific view of the value that coaching brings and how to use this with clients:
- Learn how the process of habitual behavior and change works and that neuroplasticity directly impacts the coaching process.
- Discover the basic principles of coaching and the research of Richard Boyatzis and Anthony Jack highlighting why coaching works.
- Dive into various aspects of the Extended Mind and the value of using novel approaches to help over-extended and stressed clients that promote creativity and expanded solutions.
